LUNCH ON THE STREET
Lunch on the Street is a weekly opportunity to have an impact on the homeless. Each Thursday at 12:30 we meet at the Asian Gardens on the corner of Milam and Common St, each person bringing two lunches, one to eat and one to give away. You get the chance to provide lunch for someone and sit and eat with them. It is a very simple and relaxed way to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

NIGHT AT THE PARK
Night at the Park is our once a month summer outreach to a neighborhood in great need. It is simply a block party for the residents of an extremely low income neighborhood, complete with games for the kids, sno cones, snacks and donations! Volunteers are used to play games with kids, face paint, distribute snacks and donations.

FEED
FEED is a new program designed to allow volunteers be a part of delivering hot meals and groceries to those who live in low income housing situations and poverty stricken neighborhoods. Food is a need that is growing in our poor areas and we have the resources to change that. You will have the opportunity to provide a bag of groceries for two weeks. That bag of groceries or hot meal will give you the opportunity to meet a need and share the gospel. Volunteers are used to help make the bags of groceries and help distribute them door to door in the neighborhood. All supplies are provided by The Hub.

TUTORING AT THE BASEMENT
Each Wednesday night, come be a part of tutoring inner city kids at The Basement! From 5:45-7:15 we tutor around 20 kids each week! We are able to spend time with them doing homework, crafts and feeding them dinner. We want these kids to be influenced by the gospel and by people who love them with the love of Jesus. Volunteers are needed to be a one on one help for the kids. We meet at The Basement, 609 Texas St. at 5:45 pm.

LOVE LINE
Love Line is our Apartment Outreach Program to low income housing buildings in the inner city of Shreveport. It will involve small groups of volunteers committing a few hours a week to participate and facilitate outreaches to the apartment building residents. These outreaches would include family oriented events, providing the residents with resources that they need and spending time loving and living life with them, throwing them the love-line that they are so desperate of. For more information on this outreach opportunity, send us an email to thehubministry@yahoo.com. We are looking for individuals or small groups who would like to get involved in Love Line.

FAMILY SERVE
Family Serve is a monthly event created for families to serve together. We serve a free meal to the homeless and pass out many resources throughout the inner city. Each month we have served in upwards of 300 people!! What an amazing opportunity to reach our city for Christ. Volunteers are used to help make the plates of food, distribute donations and chat with those who attend.

PROVIDENCE HOUSE KIDS CLUB
The Providence House is a homeless shelter for families. We currently put on a Kid’s Camp every Monday night. This night consists of games, bible stories and various ways of teaching the kids. If you are a group leader or are in a group and would like to sign up for Providence House kids, email us and let us know. If you are not in a group and would like to sign up we will place you in an already existing group. You can serve in this capacity either weekly, bi weekly or monthly, it’s your choice.

STREET CHURCH
We have seen in the inner city a strong need for spiritual connection. We have seen a strong need for the people to have the opportunity to worship and learn about God in the same ways that we do. Many of them do not have access to a church or resources to get them to a church. Street Church allows us to offer that to them. Each Street Church event there is worship and teaching from the word along with a meal and a chance to share your life with someone else. Volunteers are used to help make plates of food, distribute donations and attend the service with those who come, worshipping and learning together.

LEVINGSTON LOVE
Levingston Love is our monthly outreach to the residents of the Levingston Motel. The Levingston is notoriously the center for drug and sex trafficking. They are the closest thing to an unreached people group in our city. The residents in the Levingston are in great need for things that we can provide. We feed, clothe and take care of the residents at this event.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY
We have started our women's ministry to the women at the Safe House for abused women and families. The Safe House is a shelter that serves as a safe haven and a home for many families who are escaping from sexual and domestic abuse. We will be ministering to them through events twice a month that revolve around meeting the needs of the women and families. We will be having movie nights, coffee and dessert nights, game nights..etc. The women there are in GREAT need of relationships with other women who can become encouragers and motivators to keep them on track and back into the life that God has for them!! LEAVE YOUR MARK
Leave Your Mark is a new opportunity for high school students in Shreveport-Bossier. It is a way for youth groups to get involved in the inner city. We desire to teach them how to love and live a missional lifestyle.

For more information about LYM, email us. If you are a youth minister, or are in a youth group and would like to get involved, let us know!! God is going to do amazing things through this event. We are also looking for adult helpers for these youth events.

LIFE GROUPS IN THE INNER CITY
We would like to start Bible study groups in the various shelters and in different areas of the inner city.

If you or your group is interested in starting a group or being a part of a life group for the homeless and underprivileged, let us know through email.

PERSONALIZED EVENTS
If you or your group wants to get involved in the inner city of Shreveport and none of the listed events fits your schedule or what you want your group to do, we create events specifically for your group. You choose the date and give us an idea of what you want and we do the rest. It’s a great way to get your group involved and serve together.
